FAQ
Should API ALGAEFIX and ECOFIX be used at the same time, or should sludge remover be added after all the API ALGAEFIX treatments are completed?
It is best to use API ALGAEFIX on its own until algae is under control.
How much API ALGAEFIX is needed per gallon?
To ensure accurate dosing of API ALGAEFIX, determine pond volume before use. Add 1 teaspoon for each 50 U.S. gallons of pond/fountain water, or ¼ cup for each 600 gallons. Thoroughly mix into pond water by adding near the pump outflow, waterfall, or aeration device. API POND ALGAEFIX may be mixed in a bucket of the pond/fountain water and dispersed evenly around the pond. Repeat dose every 3 days until algae is controlled. Be prepared to siphon out dead algae. Once algae growth has subsided, add one dose of API POND ALGAEFIX per week, as weekly treatments will control algal growth and reduce pond maintenance.
