Treat your tap water and help to provide a safe environment for your fish with API Tap Water Conditioner. Chlorine and heavy metals found in tap water can cause gill damage, breathing difficulty, stress and can ultimately hurt or kill your fish. Tap water also contains ammonia-causing chloramines, which can also be toxic. API Tap Water Conditioner helps to remove these toxins from tap water. Because it is super concentrated, you only need one teaspoon to treat 10 gallons. Best of all, it’s safe for all aquatic life and can be used in both fresh and salt water. Use during start-up or when changing water to keep your tank pristine.

FAQ
Does API TAP WATER CONDITIONER have an expiration date?
The expiration date is typically 1-2 years from purchase, and will have a specific date printed on the packaging of API TAP WATER CONDITIONER. It will be most effective within that timeframe.
How does API TAP WATER CONDITIONER work?
API TAP WATER CONDITIONER is a dechlorinator that works to eliminate harmful chlorine, chloramines, and heavy metals from the tap water you add to your aquarium, making it a safe and livable environment for your fish.
Can I use API STRESS COAT with this product?
API STRESS COAT is safe for use with all other API products, and acts as a dechlorinator with the added benefit of soothing Aloe Vera for stressed or sick fish. This makes API STRESS COAT great for water changes and cleaning, both of which may initially distress your fish.
What is the risk if I pour more than what I need?
You can safely dose 2-3 times the directed amount of API STRESS COAT to neutralize higher levels of chlorine or chloramines. If you accidentally add more treatment, a partial (25%) water change should be completed.
